Sajid Khan (b. 1984) graduated in Graphic Design from University of Peshawar in 2008. He then went on to pursue a degree in Fine Arts from National College of Arts, Lahore, where he graduated with a distinction in Miniature Painting in 2011. One aspect of Khan’s work is the pleasing scenery of the village he grew up in as compared to the polluted landscape of the urban city where he currently resides. The second aspect speaks about the drastic change which has taken place in his village due to the horrors wrought by war during the last decade. The artist’s narrative is an extension of the landscape and the impact of war, and on human beings and their subsequent behaviors.
