Muzammil Khan (b. 1987) graduated with a distinction from National College of Arts, Lahore, in 2017. His work reflects upon memory to create a visual narrative of places which once were home for him but no longer exist. The artist aims to reconstruct the world of his past by visualizing the spaces which are deeply rooted in his memory or resurface to the conscious as flashbacks. With each stroke and each line there is the notion of attachment for the artist. In a way, the artist reconstructs the space which now stands demolished, but recreated - brick by brick, one by one - through a variety of miniature techniques to give tangible form to his memories.
