Ayesha Durrani
 

Ayesha Durrani is a leading international Contemporary Miniature painter. Her work raises issues on gender and female identity in the cultural context, and has been displayed in over forty-two international exhibitions and art fairs. Her work has been auctioned at Christies of New York, Bonhams London, Bonhams Abu Dhabi and in Milan. Besides eminent private collections, her work is on permanent display in leading museums and galleries including Fakuka Asian Art museum Japan. She was selected to represent Pakistan at the 27th Asian International Artist Workshop in Thailand 2014, and awarded a full fellowship for a residency at the Vermont Studio Centre in 2006. She has been teaching at the prestigious National College of Art since 2007, currently serving as Associate Professor and Head of Miniature painting and Printmaking Departments at the National College of Arts, Rawalpindi Campus. Durrani is a mother of three; she lives and works in Rawalpindi, Pakistan.
